About Me

Zach Van Leeuwen, LMFT

Zach Van Leeuwen, LMFT, is a dedicated Family Sports Therapist and Mental Skills Sports Coach with over 5 years of coaching and training experience. With a background as a former Division 1 athlete at Utah State University, Zach understands firsthand the challenges athletes face in achieving balance and peak performance. His journey as a dual-sport athlete in football and basketball, coupled with his experiences traveling with his AAU basketball team, underscores his deep appreciation for the transformative power of sports.

Driven by a passion for helping others and a commitment to personal growth, Zach blends his expertise in mental health with his love for coaching and teaching. Recognizing the pressures and anxieties that can plague athletes, Zach endeavors to restore the joy and fulfillment in their sporting endeavors. He believes that sports should be more than just a competitive pursuit—they should be opportunities for growth, learning, and self-discovery.

In his practice, Zach utilizes a specialized therapeutic modality called brainspotting to aid athletes in healing from sports-related traumas and unlocking their full potential. By leveraging his unique background and clinical training, Zach equips athletes with the mental skills needed to navigate the challenges they face both on and off the field.

Zach is passionate about empowering athletes to overcome mental barriers and achieve excellence in all aspects of their lives. He invites you to join him on this transformative journey and looks forward to the opportunity to support you in reaching your goals.
